The Social Studies program at Beverly High School seeks to instill in students the desire for lifelong learning.  A curriculum designed to create independent and critical thinkers will assist students in defining their roles as involved citizens of their community, their country, and their world.

Department Expectations:

All students in grades nine, ten and eleven are required to write and submit a research paper. All students in grades nine, ten and eleven must take a departmental final examination.  Taking an Advanced Placement Examination in World or United States History exempts a student from the final examination in that year.
