    The power of language is a theme that we will be exploring in this course.  Obviously, we will review English usage and vocabulary, but we will also discover the origins of language and the power of language in the world.  Throughout our explorations, consider this essential question: What is the influence of language on culture?  How can you use language as a powerful tool?

   Start by exploring the definition of our topic - look up the definition of language.

The Task

    Language Exploration is a group of separate tasks.   Each task has its own information and assignment.  A different task will be assigned at  different times during the course.
    I will use class time to introduce each task and to answer any questions that you may have.  You will work on the actual task outside of class time.
