By completing this Webquest, you have learned more about the causes and events of the Russian Revolution, especially about the actions and motivations of some of the people involved. Perhaps this exercise has also prompted you to ask some bigger questions: From what you know about the phases through which revolutions seem to pass, can the "coup d'etat" (in this case, Nicholas's execution) ever be avoided? Under what circumstances is a revolution "necessary?"   What role would you take on if a revolution were to happen in your lifetime?  How far would you be willing to go to bring about change?
