The Task
The task at hand, is to address the problems
of substance abuse and its impact on middle school students. Encourage
students to be health advocates for them selves, peers and family; remember,

The Task:

Assemble your task force: a law enforcement
agent, a health professional, a counselor, a middle school teacher, and
a legal guardian.

Decide which substance to investigate: tobacco,
alcohol, illegal drugs, inhalants, prescription drugs.

Investigate the substance and all the issues
surrounding the use and or abuse of the substance from you respective positions

Compile data and formulate a message
-
Choose a method to employ your message: a play,
a video, a game, or an original and teacher approved alternative.
Create this product to present to middle school students.

Create an informational take home pamphlet.

The following materials must be assembled and
submitted for teacher evaluation and in preparation for the presentation:
A) Lesson plan, detailed and typed, for
a 35minute class
