A WebQuest for AP Biology

Introduction

The Animal Kingdom is filled with great diversity.  There are cute and cuddly puppy dogs and very slimy slugs.  There are very quiet red-bellied newts and very noisy howler monkeys.  Some animals enjoy the heat and dryness of the desert while others prefer the icy cold Artic waters.  Some like to swing in trees while others soar in the air, swim in the water or burrow under the ground.  What do all of these organisms have in common to place them in the animal kingdom?  What separates them into the different phlya and classes?

In order to become familiar with the various adaptations found in the Animal Kingdom, you will research a particular group of animals and present your information to your classmates.
