Power Point Presentation

Excellent overview of system. All organs listed, major as well as minor, with functions clearly described.  Students clearly relate structure to function, and show understanding how these two relate.  How the system contributes to homeostasis clearly explained, illustrating a clear understanding of homeostasis. Students used 8-10 slides, presentation very creative, good images used to illustrate concepts presented. Found and evaluated at least two web sites on system.

Good overview of system.  Major organs listed, with functions listed.  Students show the link between structure and function for most of the major organs, but not all.  Students mention that the system does contribute to homeostasis, but explanation of how it does so is lacking. students used 6-8 slides to do presentation, it was creative and well done. Some images used to illustrate concepts

Found one web site on their own, evaluated it

System and organs are described  or listed.  Some organs are missing.  Functions are not well described at all.  No link between structure and function.  No link to homeostasis,

Students used 5 slides to do minimum.

Few images imported

Found no web sites on their own, evaluated one web site already on the web quest

Purpose to system is stated, some organs listed. No functions, nothing about homeostasis.  Power point presentation is very incomplete. Less than 5 slides. No images imported

Did not find any web sites on their own, did not include an evaluation of any web sites

Worksheet:

Questions clearly stated, major concepts of power point presentation addressed, information accessible through book or web quest.

Addresses relationship of structure to function and homeostasis

Questions generally well crafted, focused more on what organs do what, rather than relationship of structure to function. Addresses concept of homeostasis, material taken only from power point presentation

Questions poorly constructed, only focuses on the organs of the system and its general purpose.  Nothing relating structure to function. Nothing relating to homeostasis. Material can be accessed from text, without going to power point presentation

Few questions, does not relate well to power point presentation, fails to address major concepts of system.
