Tasks

 

You will be working in groups of 3 with each student assigned a specific role in carrying out the research needed to create your gallery.  The roles are:  gallery creator, quizmaster and team manager.  All three members of the team will be responsible for researching how the system contributes to the maintenance of homeostasis.  Each group is responsible for making sure the entire class has the knowledge to answer the following essential questions:

    a.  What is the purpose of this system to the human body?

    b.  What are the major and minor organs of this system?

    c.  How do the major organs of the system work?

    d.  What is the contribution of this system to the maintenance of homeostasis in the human  body?

  • Creates a table that lists all organs in system
  • Answers questions applying to that system
  • keeps members of team on task

All members of each team must find and evaluate one web site not listed in the resource sections. Your evaluation should be based on the following criteria:

   1. Is it understandable to you as a high school student taking your first course in biology?

2.  Were you able to navigate through it easily?

3.  Were you able to find the answers to the questions on the worksheet?

4.  Were the graphics well done, and helpful?

5.  Would you recommend it to another student doing research on this system?
